SRAE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Emily Tavarez joined the Project SAFE Team as the SRAE Program Coordinator in 2021. Knowing she wanted to be in the field of Sexual Health since high school, Emily went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with minors in Latina/o Studies and Inequality Studies at Cornell University in 2016. She believes that understanding one’s body and human sexuality as a whole allows for all people to make sound sexual decisions that set them up for the future they want! Before joining FHC at NYU Langone, she was a Sexual Health Educator for the Queens, NY Community. Emily loves her career because she is passionate about equipping young people with the knowledge and tools to make their own choices with their own bodies!
